Rest now my friend, our epic journey over.
Hand in hand we faced each new adventure.
Together sharing, what laid before us.
Pain, fear, pleasure, joy and sorrow.
There were times you could not see me
Lost, you travelled, alone and empty.
Not for a moment did I leave your side

Rest now my friend, our epic journey over.
Feel the embracing sleep surround you
Knowing I your friend stands by your side.
Sleep, sleep, dear friend, we will meet again.
Not until I know you are gently sleeping.
Will I leave your side, to answer the calling
To take me back to my homeland once more.

Rest now my friend, our epic journey over.
Now you are asleep, I will soon be leaving.
First I kiss you and let this tear drop fall
Sleep well my friend, sleep well.
