Truth

From book to book, belief to belief
I seek that truth, hidden beneath
Their words promise all is found
For theirs is truth written down

So many truths, can they all be right
Is there only one path to golden light
All I ask, is for your guiding hand
Through the physical desert sand

Can your truth by man be taught
Or the offering of money brought
Is it found in temples dressed in gold
Or in those treasured books so old

How my God, can this truly be
When your love is inside of me
Am I searching for that not lost
My confusion and doubt the cost

Not to look outside, but seek within
To find where you have always been
Trust in my heart, and spirit set free
Knowing your love will, forever be.
