Valley Of Seven Hills
Head resting on pillow, eyes gently close.
One by one, each body part I relax.
Devoid of feeling, no longer part of me.
Heart beat slow, breathing shallow.
Conscious control relinquished
Subconscious takes command
Places once unknown and feared
Now like magnets, attracting pull
Call me to visit them once more
Then the realization of "I"
Grows to fill the body resting
Till a crescendo of loving light
Erupts in a dazzling light display
Now gone the physical constraints
That binds me in the waking hours
I am off to the place dreamers go
This time awake and fully seeing
To embrace the trueness of it all
Once a journey through darkness
A single thought takes it place
There to greet me in its splendour
A living kaleidoscope of colour
Moulding to my every thought
This is the place emotions talk
To a backdrop of colours dancing
Colours become a canvas
Emotions an artist brush
Calmness to emotions brings
A secret hidden now revealed
There's a path you can follow
To the valley of seven hills
Where adults and children play
Under a cloudless sky of azure blue
Amongst flowers that forever bloom
This is the place new arrivals come
To rest, then meet those loving arms
A welcoming embrace for one and all
That no longer a physical endure
