Death is something we all fear to a greater or lesser degree basically because it is a unknown. We all have our views as to what we would like to happen yet the evidence leads us to believe we cease to exist. A greater fear is the method of our death. We wish it to be painless and instant, so we know nothing and feel nothing at the moment of death. There is nothing to fear, it is but a transition from one state to another.
Our outlook depends on our beliefs. If we truly believe we are spirit, death does not exist for us. If we believe we are the body then it is a reality that needs to be understood. The body itself reverts back to its original state via mother natures recycling process. The energy which we associate as being ourselves cannot be destroyed it can only change, basic rules of physics. The what and if it changes into is not easy to determine. It is at this point ones belief comes into play. I looked to nature to determine the possibilities The live cycle of a butterfly and its metamorphoses for me shows it is at least possible to change from one life form to another while retaining the same life within.
Death does not exist, change does. The question is
what changes takes place? Do things exist that our physical senses
cannot detect? The answer to that one is yes, we already know that our
physical senses are very limited and things exist beyond their range.
Some we can detect using devices others we have yet to invent ways of
doing so. Like it or not we have not yet proven that we as in our
essence do not carry on beyond death. Where it is true we cannot prove
it does that in itself is not proof it does not. There are many new
discoveries that at one time could not be proven to exist yet they did.
Many of these would have been said to lay outside of the realms of
science and indeed did in their current sense. Science changes and
updates almost on a daily basis. Many of it's past facts have proved to
be wrong where as many past fictions have been found to be true. At the
point of death a change takes place as to what that change is you will
have to decide for yourself.
